The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Australia Alexey Pavlovsky visited Port Vila from April 24 to 26 and presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Vanuatu Nikenike Vurobaravu.
At a special ceremony presented the President of the Republic of Vanuatu with credentials accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Vanuatu.
During the visit, the Ambassador was received by Prime Minister Hon. Charlot Salwai Tabimasmas, Speaker of the Parliament Hon. Seoule Simeon and cabinet ministers.
Bilateral consultations were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade of the Republic of Vanuatu.
The mutual commitment was reaffirmed to strengthen relations of traditional friendship between the two countries, including closer interaction within the international fora.
