The State of Qatar and Common Wealth of Australia have agreed in principle to diversify their mutual beneficial ties especially in trade and investments sector.
the topics cane under discussIon in a meeting between Qatar’s Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater with visiting Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia Kathryn Campbell on March 26. Ambassador of Australia to Qatar Jonathan Muir also attended the meeting.
“They reviewed aspects of the bilateral cooperation and ways of enhancing and developing them, especially in the field of trade exchange and investment”, said a statement issued by the ministry of foreign affairs of Qatar.
Both sides also reviewed the developments in the situation in Afghanistan, mainly women’s education issues, and a number of issues of common concern.
Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia Kathryn Campbell thanked the State of Qatar for its unremitting efforts in the peace process in Afghanistan.
