Sydney-Philippine Ambassador to Australia Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega and Philippine Consul General to New South Wales Ezzedin Tago called on Premier Gladys Berejiklian on 21 October 2019 in Sydney.
They discussed the strong and vibrant presence of the Filipino community in New South Wales and their significant contributions to the State, said a statement issued by the embassy of Philippines.
The Premier recalled her visit to Manila in 2017 and her desire to strengthen the economic engagement between the Philippines and New South Wales.
Ambassador De La Vega discussed the positive growth of the Philippine economy and expressed hope that the New South Wales government will support the 75th Anniversary of Philippines-Australia Diplomatic Relations in 2021.
