The Governor-General of Australia Sir Peter Cosgrove and Lady Cosgrove Thursday hosted a lunch for Middle Eastern Heads of Mission, at Government House, said a statement issued by the office of Governor General.
Heads of Mission for Middle Eastern countries including Ambassador of Qatar Saad Abdulla Al Shareef, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Musaed Ibrahim al-Saleem, Ambassador of Jordan Dr Ali M KRAISHAN Jordan, Ambassador of Iran Fereidoun Hagbin, Ambassador of Kuwait Bader Munther Al-Issa and Ambassador of Iraq Dr Basim Hattab Altumma and Mrs Ayesha Al Mansoori First Secretary at Embassy of United Arab Emirates attended the luncheon.
Lyndall Sachs, Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign Affairs and other senior officials from ministry of foreign affairs also attended the luncheon.
The Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove exchanged friendly conversations with the envoys and hoped that Australia friendly relations with Middle Eastern countries would further grow in future.
He said that these events are a chance to strengthen existing relationships and identify new opportunities
