Embassy of Israel in Canberra has expressed deep sadness on the tragic death of Israeli citizen, Aiia Maasarwe in Melbourne on Wednesday and express heartfelt condolences to Aiia’s bereaved family.
Israel embassy spokesperson Eman Amasha in a statement said that with deep sadness we confirm that the body of Aiia Maasarwe, an Israeli citizen, was found in Melbourne and the Australian Authorities are investigating the circumstances of her death.
Spokesperson said we have complete faith in the Victorian Police and have no doubt that they will leave no stone unturned in the search to bring the perpetrator to justice.
Spokesperson also offered embassy complete support to the grieved family and said our Consul working to return her body home to Israel for burial.
