Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade DFAT on Friday hosted a farewell luncheon in honour of outgoing Turkish Ambassador Vakur Gökdenizler.
Lyndall Sachs, Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade hosted the event. Several officials from Turkish Embassy and DFAT attended the luncheon.
Ambassador Vakur Gökdenizler took up his duties as the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey on 14 October 2015.
There are about 150 thousand Australian citizens of Turkish origin in Australia and both nations are enjoying good and friendly relations.
