Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay an official visit to Ethiopia next week at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu.
At the first leg of his four nation tour, Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay an official visit to Ethiopia on January 2 to discuss host of issues with his Ethiopian counterpart Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu.
“The Chinese Foreign Minister will also visit the African Union (AU) Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Burkina Faso, Gambia and Senegal”, Ethiopian foreign ministry said in a statement.
In Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said that Wang’s visit is a continuation of this fine tradition, which speaks volume for the great importance China has always attached to its relations with Africa.
He will conclude to his four African countries tour on January 6, 2019.
