Ambassador of Kingdom of Morocco Mr Karim Medrek has presented his Letters of Credence, to the Governor General of the Solomon Islands, Mr David Vunagi as Ambassador of Morocco to Honiara.
Ambassador Medrek conveyed King of Morocco message of goodwill to Governor General.
Based in Canberra, Ambassador Karim Medrek is also accredited to Solomon Islands as Morocco puts a special emphasis on the importance of the relations with the Island States of the Pacific.
Ambassador Medrek during his stay in capital Honiara also paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Manasseh Damukana Sogavare.
Morocco relations dating back to over 20 years ago have been reinforced by the establishment of diplomatic relations and the promotion of economic and cultural cooperation based on the Moroccan vision of the South-South Partnership.
