Mr. Philippe Petitdidier, Defence Attaché of the French Embassy to Australia, attended the Last Post and Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial last week, said a statement issued by French Embassy in Canberra.
The ceremony attended by Australian Prime minister Scott Morrison, Federal Opposition Leader Bill Shorten, paid tribute to the service and sacrifice of women veterans over the last 100 years who gave their lives as the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
This event gathered women from every major women’s organisation who have been affected by service and their relatives and senior Australian political figures across political divide.
